Running a guild
Create a guild, then tour the three tabs that run it.
Create a guild
My Guilds in the sidebar, then Create Guild.
-
Name, an avatar, and a Description (up to 256 characters).
-
Public Guild — leave it on and your guild appears in Discover where people can apply to it. Turn it off and it is invitation-only and unlisted.
-
On the right, pick the games your guild plays. You can change this later in Manage → Integrations.
-
Create. You are made the guild's Guildmaster automatically.
Creating a guild is a chain of dialogs, not one. After the guild is created TRAX adds each game you picked, then opens Default Activities once per game, in sequence, with every template pre-ticked. Work through them (or untick what you do not want) — the flow is not finished until the last one closes. See Activities.
The guild page
Clicking a guild opens three tabs. Which ones you see depends on your permissions.
Overview
The default tab: hero with avatar and creation date, the description, the announcement, and three stat cards for Members, Roles and Game(s).
The announcement is the guild's pinned message — it appears on every member's Home feed. Officers with edit rights get an inline Edit on the announcement card; it accepts Markdown.
Members
Everyone in the guild, with their renown, when they were last updated, and per-row actions: Leave on your own row, Kick on everyone else's. Kicking removes all of that person's roles and character links. There is also a Create Invitation button here — see Recruitment.
Manage
Everything administrative, behind five sub-tabs:
| Sub-tab | What lives there |
|---|---|
| Roster | Every character belonging to every member, with filters for name, game, level range, gear score range and tags. Add Characters and a per-row Kick. |
| Recruitment | A switch between Applications and Invitations. See Recruitment. |
| Roles | Create roles and edit their permissions. See Roles & permissions. |
| Activities | A switch between Activities (the templates) and Schedules (recurring event patterns). See Activities. |
| Integrations | Add or remove games, link a Discord server, set the guild's Discord language, and read the created / last-updated metadata. See Discord. |
Every level is linkable. Tabs live in the URL, so you can paste a
colleague a link straight to the right screen — for example
?tab=manage&manage=recruitment&recruit=invitations or
?tab=manage&manage=activities&activities=schedules.
Adding a game later
Manage → Integrations, then add the game in the games section. As with guild creation, the Default Activities dialog opens for the new game so you can seed it with templates immediately. Each already-added game also keeps a button to reopen that dialog later.
Suggested setup order
Create the guild and accept the default activities for your games.
Link Discord and pick a channel — most of TRAX's value is in the notifications.
Write an announcement so members have something on their Home feed.
Adjust roles if the four defaults do not fit.
Invite people, or open applications.
Tune your activities and turn on auto-match.
