TR@X Guide Back to TRAX

Discord

Link a server once and TRAX posts your events, DMs your invitations and reminders, and lets people accept without opening a browser.

Two separate links

Your accountYour guild
Set up inProfile → Discord Account Guild → Manage → Integrations
NeedsNothing special Guild edit rights, and permission to add a bot to the Discord server
Gives youDirect messages: invitations, reminders, decisions, renown — and the buttons in them Channel posts: events, applications, member changes, the weekly digest

They are independent. Link your account even if you never run a guild — that is what makes you reachable.

Linking your account

Either sign up with Continue with Discord, or go to Profile → Discord Account and press Link Discord Account. Once linked you get Change and Unlink. A Discord account can only be attached to one TRAX account at a time.

Linking a guild's server

  1. Go to Guild → Manage → Integrations and press Link Discord Server.

  2. Discord asks which server to add the bot to. Pick it and authorise. You need permission to add bots to that server.

  3. You land back in TRAX with Select Discord Channel open — Select a text channel where event notifications will be posted.

  4. Choose a channel and press Link Channel.

The panel then shows the server avatar, its name and ✓ Connected, with an Unlink button.

Empty channel list? No text channels found in this server means the bot cannot see any channels. Check its role permissions in Discord and try again.

What gets posted to the channel

What arrives as a direct message

Buttons

Invitation DMs carry Accept and Decline; reminder DMs carry a cancel button. Pressing one does the real thing in TRAX immediately.

Once an invitation is settled, its DM is rewritten in place with the outcome — accepted ✅, declined ❌, revoked 🚫 — and the buttons are removed, so an old message in your inbox can never be answered twice.

Slash commands

Everything sits under /trax:

CommandDoes
/trax eventsList upcoming events.
/trax eventShow one event and its roster.
/trax join / /trax leave Join or leave an event.
/trax invitationsYour pending invitations.
/trax lfgDeclare Looking For Group.
/trax applyApply to a guild.
/trax groupGuild info.
/trax renownRenown standings.
/trax linkLink your Discord to a TRAX account.

Which language Discord speaks

Three settings, deliberately independent:

MessageLanguage comes from
Direct messages to you Your own language, set via the sidebar cog.
Guild channel posts and thread notes The guild's Discord language, in Manage → Integrations.
Replies when you press a button Your Discord client's own language.

So a French guild can post in French while still DMing its Spanish-speaking members in Spanish.
