TR@X Guide Back to TRAX

FAQ

Short answers to the things that catch people out.

Account

I forgot my password.

There is no password reset yet — the link on the sign-in page is not wired up. If you signed up with Discord or Google, use that button instead. Otherwise ask on the support Discord.

I signed in and landed on Discover instead of Home.

Working as intended: if you are not in a guild yet there is nothing to put on a dashboard, so TRAX sends you to the guild directory. See Joining a guild.

Can I try it without committing to anything?

Yes — Try the demo on the landing page gives you a fully populated guild to poke at.

Characters and events

"No available slots for this character".

The character fails the slot requirements. In order of likelihood: tags (a slot needs every tag it lists), then level range, then gear score range. Open the event's slots to see what is being asked.

My character does not appear in a guild.

Characters are yours; being visible to a guild is a separate link. Open the character from My Characters and check its Guilds section.

Can one character be in several guilds?

Yes, as many as you like.

I cannot join an event at all.

If you see an Invite Only Event notice instead of the join form, the organiser has locked it and you need an invitation. Past events cannot be joined.

Activities and auto-match

Auto-match is on but no events are being created.

With Auto Create Events on, an event is only created when every slot fills to capacity — there is no partial generation. Either loosen the slots, get more people declaring LFG, or turn Auto Create Events off so TRAX fills the events you create yourself instead.

One slot always fills and the one after it never does.

Slots are filled greedily in the order you defined them, and each character is seated once. A flexible player gets consumed by whichever slot comes first. Move your most restrictive slots to the top of the list.

Times look an hour off.

Availability matching runs in UTC at hour granularity — minutes are ignored. Displayed event times are local; the matching underneath is not.

Where is the Activities menu?

Not in the sidebar, on purpose — activities are a guild-level template and automation concept. They live in Guild → Manage → Activities.

LFG

I cannot find where to declare LFG.

Only one place: the cyan LFG pill in the sidebar. The activities table deliberately has no LFG controls.

My LFG vanished.

A timed declaration (1h4h) expires when its window ends and is cleaned up automatically. Use Always for standing availability.

A board card says "Roster unavailable".

You lack read access to members in that guild, so TRAX hides the fill numbers rather than show you an undercount.

Guilds and permissions

A button I need is missing.

Almost always a permission. Create buttons are hidden when you lack the right; row-level Edit and Delete buttons are disabled rather than hidden. Ask a Guildmaster to check the role grid — see Roles & permissions.

Nobody is applying to my guild.

Check Public Guild in Overview → Edit. A private guild is unlisted and has no apply button.

Accepting an application does nothing.

Accept opens an inline role picker rather than accepting immediately. Tick at least one role, then confirm.

Guild creation seemed to keep opening dialogs.

It does: after the guild is created, the Default Activities dialog opens once per game you selected. Work through them all — the flow finishes when the last one closes.

Discord

The channel list was empty when linking.

The bot cannot see any text channels. Check its role permissions in your Discord server and retry.

I get channel posts but no DMs.

Those are two separate links. Channel posts come from the guild's server link; DMs need your account linked, in Profile → Discord Account.

The buttons on an old DM do nothing.

Once an invitation is settled the DM is rewritten with the outcome and its buttons are removed, so it cannot be answered twice.

Notifications are in the wrong language.

Three independent settings — your language for DMs, the guild's Discord language for channel posts, and your Discord client's language for button replies. See Discord.

Still stuck?

Ask on the TRAX support Discord.
